I also see my role as part of a larger team in the event experience and strive to make it seamless. I provide a professional performance that is appropriate and respectful to audience members. I strive to provide truly authentic sounding versions of the covers I perform, sprinkled with originals in the Americana and Canadiana vein if desired. I have played in a wide variety of public, private and corporate environments for over 30 years.

My exposure to music began as a child. I can honestly say my nursery rhymes were equally Gordon Lightfoot music as they were traditional ones. I particularly was fascinated by studying the nuances of singers voices and tone. Like my father, I have no formal training nor the ability to read music. It is engrained in me deeply and I believe that is hard to fake. I was actually a drummer first, but the lack of space in a university residence room made me get serious about the guitar and my voice. 30 years on, I have been fortunate to record and play live to hundreds and hundreds of people as a solo and band musician (drummer, percussionist, rhythm guitarist, harmony and lead vocalist). I was profoundly influenced by the rockabilly greats, and the folk, classic country, and working class heroes. I am constantly learning new songs and I believe it is genuinely shown when I perform, that I love what I do!
