I found Darius on gig salad 3 years ago. Our church needed a keys player. He played faithfully with us for 2 years and drove a hour and 15 minutes every single Sunday. Not only did he fit in perfectly with our church, but the pastor and congregation loved him. He was complimented regularly. Darius’ skill set changed the culture of our Sunday morning worship for the better. Whenever challenges arose during our set, he handled them calmly and with ease. He upheld our standard of excellence and motivated the other musicians on our team to give their best. All of our singers and musicians were able to be free in the flow of worship because Darius, the MD, knew how to carry the team. If you’re looking to book him, look no further! He’s one of the best!

He provided a price & committed to the job (basic keys outline of 3 gospel songs to be done virtually). He asked for another 24 hours, I was ok with that since he was confident he would have it done. 40 minutes after the deadline, when I hadn’t received anything I reached out. Hours later he responded that he was working on it. I wait 4-5 hours more, after no follow up, I reach out again. Some time passed & he came with the excuses. When you run into delays or you’re not able to meet a deadline you follow up and communicate asap, that’s all, time costs. I lost over a whole day because of a lack of communication & honesty. I can’t speak to whether the gentleman can play or not because I’ve yet to hear his work. But who cares whether you can play or not if your word can’t be taken, if you can’t be depended on.
