Dare to Dance

If you're organizing a party, wedding, corporate event, or school assembly, you need more than just someone who teaches dance steps—you want someone who energizes the crowd and keeps them entertained. Clear communication is key, so it's important that the instructor has a strong voice and quality microphone, along with a reliable sound system. Most importantly, you want someone who can break down moves for beginners while still challenging experienced dancers. Christy brings all of that and more, so that it will always be memorable. If you’re simply looking for music—either as the main feature or background music —we now offer this service at affordable rates.

Note: Due to potential Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference common at many events, Christy requests music selections in advance. She downloads all songs beforehand to ensure smooth, uninterrupted playback throughout your event. If you’d like, she can put together a recommended music playlist for you.

Christy Lane is a trained dance instructor having taught in every state in the U.S. Her experience includes teaching and presenting at corporate events, private parties, school assemblies and community events. She started the company Dare to Dance 22 years ago and has been going strong since! She has a rare talent for reading the crowd and choosing music that perfectly matches their vibe.

Event Requirements and Equipment Information:

Please ensure there is adequate space for participants to move freely. Please email us the type of event, the expected age group, the expected number of attendees and theme.

For outdoor events and pop-up locations, we provide battery-operated sound systems, wireless microphones, and a backup generator to ensure uninterrupted service.

For dance instruction WITH 50 OR LESS ATTENDEES, we supply a portable, freestanding sound system and microphone that do not require electricity. However, for DJ and/or music-only services, access to electricity is required.

For dance instruction and DJ services WITH 50 - 100 ATTENDEES, we provide a medium-sized sound system, which requires access to electricity. A stage is strongly recommended. If needed, we can provide a 6' x 9' x 18" portable stage for an additional $100 fee.

For events WITH 100-500 ATTENDEES, we supply a large-scale sound system and require both electricity and a stage that is at least 24 inches high for optimal visibility.
