Soprano
Artist dedicated to the ancient vocal repertoire, twentieth century and contemporary classical music. She is known for her successful interpretations of works like Himnus ad Galli Cantum by Orbón, Lauda per la Nativitá del Signore by Respighi, Stravinsky’s Cantata; the operas DeCachetitoRaspado by Trigos and El Conejo y el Coyote by Rasgado, Cantatas No. 2 and 3 by Trigos, Comala y Comala Suite No. 2 by Zohn-Muldoon, Chansons créoles by Montsalvatge, Folk Songs by Berio, Canciones aztecas by Moreno (orchestration by Vidaurri), The Diary of a Disappeared by Janácek, Goethe lieder by Dallapiccola and Terzina by Castiglioni. She has been invited as a soloist at various festivals like Festival Internacional E. Mata and Festival Humanitas (Oaxaca, Mexico), SpazioMusica (Cagliari, Italy), Festival Internacional de Chihuahua and Festival Internacional de Música Nueva "Manuel Enríquez" (Mexico), and International Guitar Series at UCF (Florida), among others. She has sung under the baton of conductors of international fame as Daniele Callegari, Riccardo Frizza, Günter Neuhold, Marcello Panni and Juan Trigos, collaborating with ensembles and orchestras like Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, Orchestra del Teatro Regio of Parma and Icarus Ensemble (Italy); Eastman BroadBand (New York), Ensamble Nuevo de México, Sinfónica de Guanajuato, Sinfónica de Aguascalientes, Sinfónica de Puebla, Filarmónica de Boca del Río (Mexico) and Sinfónica de Heredia (Costa Rica), among the others. Her most important recent activities include the American premiere of the chamber version of the opera DeCachetitoRaspado by Juan Trigos at the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta with Bent Frequency Ensemble (2015). By the same composer, has been remarkable her participation as a guest soprano in the world premier and recording for iTinerant of the works Cantata Concertante No. 3 Phos Hilaron (2013), and Symphony N. 4 Nezahualcoyotl Icuicahuan (Songs of Nezahualcoyotl) for soprano and orchestra, with texts in Nahuatl by Nezahualcoyotl (2016). In April 2017 has been invited as a guest soloist at Eastman School of Music of Rocester NY. Next September 2017 will perform and record the opera Historia de Cabeza by Juan Trigos in Mexico with the Orchestra Sinfónica Mexiquense under the baton of Rodrigo Macías.
