1. Solo, one man band. Soulful singing, combined with innovative guitar playing and looping.
2. Acoustic Duo with my partner Caroline called "Smootherin". We specialize in tight knit female and male vocal harmonies, thoughtful lyrics, and natural stage chemistry that is entertaining for all ages.
We play a wide range of original music and covers from 1960s to present day, blending multiple genres including: folk, pop, rock, soul, hip hop, and more. Can also include Chinese-language songs including Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Their voice was amazing, and the song choices were perfect for the crowd. They were incredibly social, engaging with guests and creating a fun, lively atmosphere. Everyone had a great time—guests couldn’t stop raving about the performance!

Daniel Lew is a singer-songwriter with a mission to uplift the world. 10 years ago, he spontaneously went deaf in his left ear and developed tinnitus. This shifted the course of his life towards a creative path in music. “Folk music writ large with electrifying vocals” writes Charlie Smith of Pancouver Magazine. Daniel’s voice lies between Bob Dylan, Jack Johnson, and Chris Cornell, paired with innovative guitar playing and energetic live looping. His songs are introspective and shine with honesty.
He has released 4 albums, toured Canada, showcased in Asia, and has been featured by CBC Radio One, CTV News, Nashville Music Mecca, Jade Music Festival, Jorvik Radio UK, Exclaim!, Indie Shuffle, and South China Morning Post. His live performances have caught the attention of Ed Sheeran, Jacob Collier, and Dan Mangan.
Daniel was awarded the 2023 Creative BC Career development grant for his new album “Destiny”. For this project, he collaborated with several other Asian-Canadians creatives to showcase work from under represented artists.
I have a self-sufficient battery powered portable 100 watt PA. I run my mic, guitar and pedalboard through this rig. Very convenient for me to bring this to any space.
