Typically for stage shows with audiences of 50 and more you will need:

Raised platform or stage
Stand alone sound system with a wireless handheld and wireless lavaliere or headset mic
professional theatrical lighting to light the front of the performer is also recommended.

There are no special requirements for mingling events other than to have a great time!
