Dan Heely
Overview
Soulful live music that sets the vibe without stealing the spotlight.
Clients book me because I’m easy to work with, prepared, and focused on making events feel comfortable and dialed-in. I read the room, keep the energy where it should be, and make sure the music supports the moment.
I play a wide range of soulful, acoustic-driven covers across soul, folk, and acoustic rock—familiar songs delivered in a tasteful, stripped-down style that works for both background ambiance and upbeat moments.
Rates vary by event type, length, and location, and include professional sound and setup for a polished, stress-free experience.

February 28, 2026Perfect fit for our events
We had Dan play for 2 hours at Zen Leaf Dispensary in Elkridge and he did not disappoint! Song choices were perfect for the relaxed vibe we were hoping to create. We will definitely be inviting him back!

May 1, 2025Tasteful Fresh Inspiring
I've seen Dan play over the past couple years and every time I'm surprised with new ripping guitar licks, new variations of songs, and brand new fun cover and original tunes! Anytime he is playing always worth it to check this blues driving funk machine out!

What to expect
Professional equipment, attitude, sound, and communication. I am pretty self sufficient and can adapt as needed to different spaces. I don't like disappointing people, so I don't.
About
Been working on this craft for over 25 years. I take pride in the ability to never play a song the same twice, but always make it sound good. I've been blessed with a great ear that's allowed my vocals to really be fine tuned over the years as I learned to control my voice. I have a great understanding of how sound in general works which allows me to control distance from the microphone and dynamics that most don't possess. I'm laid back and easy to work with, but also very professional and always put my best on the table. If you even sort-of like the stuff of mine you hear online, you'll be very pleased with the actual performance.
Additional booking notes
I need an outlet (15Amp is ideal) that is confirmed to be working and roughly a 6 foot by 6 foot "stage" to setup and perform. I have the rest.
