Great band! Professional, talented and kind!

We hired the band for our birthday and they exceeded our expectations! Bob was super responsive before the party making sure everyone was set up and even had some great ideas for the day of the party. The band mates are all very kind and talented! Couldn’t recommend them enough!

This was my first time using this app and I’m so happy it connected us with Damn Near Dead! Such a great time!

Great band!

Damn Near Dead performed at my husband's birthday party. We had a great time, and I got a lot of compliments about the how great the band was. In addition, Bob and the rest of the band members were completely professional, taking care of all the setup and breakdown and making things just as easy as could be for me.

For a good time call DND!

We had so much fun with DND playing at our party! The band members were all very talented musicians and vocalists...I would definitely call on them again for another party. My guests are still talking about what fun they had, and the blisters on my toes can attest to how their music really makes you want to get up and dance!

Kathy - We had a great time too, playing under the stars at your beautiful ranch. I think even the fireflies were dancing! Just say the word and we'll be back for more of your Petaluma hospitality. You and your husband really know how to throw a party!

Rockin' the Night Away!

Damn Near Dead deserves 10 out of 5 stars-they're that good! From day one, communication and planning was exceptional and eased my anxiousness for booking a band for my wedding. My husband and I are fans of rock-classic and alternative-and it was very important for us to have a band that was well rounded and provided enough "dancy" rock music for the reception. DND, with no hesitation, even took on learning the three most important songs for the wedding-Bride/Father, Groom/Mother, and Bride/Groom dances. Overall, a very down to earth group, whose love of performing exudes when playing for a crowd! We danced the night away! I heard nothing but fabulous and impressive remarks about Damn Near Dead and I hope they're damn near alive to play for our 50th wedding anniversary;)

What to expect

With 3 lead singers, a seriously professional sound system, and great players with great instruments and gear, a Damn Near Dead show is at a whole different level from your average bar band. Somewhat fanatical about their sound, the band always arrives early to set up and run a sound check to dial in the sound for the venue. Low current, cool and safe LED PAR stage lighting adds to the pro impression, and contributes to the party atmosphere.
Once it's show time, the band keeps up the pace with smooth but fast song transitions, keeping the dance floor busy with back to back dance music. The band usually plays 4 sets of around 50 minutes each, with three 10 minute breaks. They've been known to skip a break here or there when having too much fun to stop; particularly when the dance floor is full.
At the end of the night, the band is sensitive to the staff's desire to lock up and go home. Tear down and pack out is done as expediently as possible, leaving everything exactly as they found it. DND is often called back for repeat bookings , as club owners and event organizers find them easy to work with and always professional.

About

When you book DND, they will work with you to create the entertainment experience that you envision. From attire to song selection to lighting, the band is happy to help create the mood you're looking for. They've performed for North Beach and Richmond District nightclubs, whipping up the youngish SF weekend crowds, and have performed for yacht clubs, political events, charities, corporate holiday parties, and other special events. Whether performing for the t-shirt crowd or the black tie crowd, DND always delivers a class act and gets folks out on the dance floor having a time they'll remember.
Off the stage, you'll find working with DND a pleasant and professional experience. They can work with most budgets, and are primarily concerned with making your occasion a success, while having fun doing it.
