Dakota Crossing

Dakota Crossing offers a full 2-3hr modern country showcase concert event. Our sets contain only current country radio hits (1-5 year old tunes max). We strive to create sets that take our audiences to a fun county music party mood for whatever event we may be performing for. All of our shows (Including our 21 and over shows) are always family friendly, so no worries about inappropriate language, lyrics, dress, etc. from Dakota Crossing!

We have three lead vocalists who allow Dakota Crossing to perform a wide variety of modern country artists' material. We like to refer to Jill Douty as our very own Carrie Underwood. Jim Belt handles all the Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, etc. tunes. Paul Haugen does a remarkable job singing the likes of Sam Hunt, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett and many more.

When you put these three strong vocalists together, they create the Dakota Crossing vocal powerhouse that provides amazing 3-4 part vocal harmonies throughout the entire show. Tim Douty, our keyboardist provides an aweosme 4th backup vocal roll.

Dakota Crossing is modern/new country showcase band is an 8 piece band based out of Fresno, California. Jim Belt, the bassist and co-founder of the very successful Foreigner tribute, Foreigner Unauthorized,built Dakota Crossing to be primarily a showcase band who’s set-list is comprised of current country radio hits from the past 5 years. Utilizing the same model that Foreigner Unauthorized used to create their successful Fairs, Wineries and other corporate focused shows in creating Dakota Crossing.

Pulling musicians from several sources, Dakota Crossing brings a strong 3-5 part vocal presence combined with solid pro-level musicianship to the modern country genre. The musician configuration includes fiddle, electric and acoustic guitars, keys, drums and bass. If required, Dakota Crossing can also streamline/reduce the musician configuration in order to fit a particular venue need.

Dakota Crossing is very fortunate to have 2 powerhouse vocalist, Paul Haugen and Dee Johnson, each with their own unique vocal style that allows the band to provide a wide variety of modern country hits with stunning vocal accuracy.

Dakota Crossing primary target shows/venues are corporate, fairs, wineries, casinos, etc where a 1-2hr showcase concert experience is desired. We provide an entertaining 2-3hr modern country concert experience that is high energy and audience engaging from the very first song to the last encore. The band loves this music and loves even more performing these fun and well know current country hits.
