Dad Bods and Amy

The Dad Bods and Amy are a San Diego (North County) based rock and roll band. We play all types of music though. Classic rock, blues, country, alternative, and some originals. We love it all. We are a 5-piece band (Amy [lead singer and diverse percussion], Eric [lead guitar and vocalist], Scott [drums and vocalist], Mike [bass and vocalist] & Nick [rhythm guitar and vocalist]). We are passionate about our music and will make your event a great deal of fun BUT be warned we have a lot of energy and for better or worse lots of humor. We look forward to sharing our 5-part harmonies with you!

A few years back in Encinitas, California, a couple of middle-aged dads befriended each other while strumming around a campfire. They had elementary-aged daughters who were school buddies. The families liked to camp. Campouts became jam sessions—other dads and daughters joined in—pretty soon a dad bass player and drummer joined in and the musical tour de force known as ----yes there could only be one name for such an entity---- “the dad bods”---was created. BBQs, more daughter campouts, 50-year-old birthday parties, and then gigs followed throughout north county San Diego and Orange County, CA. They had a minor hit with their original, “Seattle”, (north county San Diego pop charts—2 weeks, 2020).
Just when the dad bods couldn’t seem to get any hotter---surfing a wave of bud light barreling over beacons beach-------they were joined by lead singer (and percussionist), Amy. In 2022, she brought another level of musicianship to this outfit. Think--- Robert Plant meets Blondie meets Metallica and you’ll get an idea...
Amy is not a dad bod, but she has become a “dad bod”…
Either way, what hasn’t changed—indeed, what has increased----is the energy, the fun, and the irreverence, that is

We have all the usual equipment you would expect PA, Amps, Drums etc. If you request it we can bring along some lighting and fog machines for effect.
