I can play most charts thrown at me, I'm a very versatile player. I can play house kits as well as bring my own along. I understand volume control and when it's acceptable to improvise and when I need to just lay down a steady groove.
I'm just a young drummer eager to play live. I've spent a lot of time practicing and I want to play live and possibly join a band. I love rock and roll, it's my favorite to play, but I also enjoy jazz, funk, R&B, and gospel. I hope to hear from some other wonderful musicians soon!
I have my own set of drums/cymbals. I am currently going through an endorsement process with a company for drums. I have been playing for 5 years. I have a home studio so I understand the discipline needed for recording. I can play with or without a click track. I also know how to get any sound needed out of my drums. Whether that's a jazz sound or funk one, I can do it.
I don't have a set of songs that I usually perform live. I have been called to many different gigs, I play a lot of 80's rock, pour some sugar on me, another one bites the dust, dr feelgood, just to name a few. On the other side, I have played Groovin' Hard featuring Buddy Rich so I can be used in many different scenarios.
When it comes to drums I was influenced early on by Roger Taylor of Queen. That later changed to John Bohnam, then Stewart Copeland, Dave Grohl, Buddy Rich, and Taylor Hawkins. I am more influenced by bands than drummers, I love the sound of a band so I play their music. I love all music from Motley Crue to the buddy rich big band and beyond.
