What to expect

A professional high quality show including lights. Outstanding sound system with crystal clear vocals. Volume will be adapted to suit the venue and engagement, but typically we play at a volume where guests can converse comfortably across a table without shouting. We always have a sound engineer running the mix from out front where he hears the same thing the audience hears.

About

“Well that went well. We should do it again.”

Barry was at a Telemark Nordic board meeting discussing how to field a float for the Westside Daze parade in 5 weeks. After some time, no good ideas emerged so Barry put up his hand and said “if you find a trailer and someone to pull it, I will find a way to field a rock band.” Barry had not picked up a guitar since moving to Kelowna from Saskatoon several years ago and he did not actually know anyone to recruit on such short notice.

Barry plus the 3 amazing musicians who today are performing as Crisprr introduced each other on the float, won the parade first place ribbon, and that was the start of something beautiful.

Barry explains: “Our shows are mostly classic rock – Black Crows, 54-40, The Cult, Doobie Bros – but we are working on an album of originals. I never get tired of listening to Deepa, lead vocalist and songwriter. She has such a beautiful voice and her songs are fresh and clean and interesting.

Additional booking notes

We are a 4-piece band with a full sound system with subwoofers, full drum kit, several instrument amps, stage monitors, 2 light stacks, and front-of-house engineer. We require either two 15-amp 120 VAC circuits or one 240 VAC circuit. Alternately, we can provide our own power using a quiet generator, if we know in advance. We require 2 hours for setup and sound check and 1 hour for teardown after the show.
