Courtnee Roze The Musical is a New York-based instrumental fusion/percussion driven band led by a multi talented individual. Since the age of 7 Roze has been studying and playing percussion. Her instruments of choice are Djembe and Congas. This piece of creative work tells an in-depth testimony of a young female musician through song and dance.
Formed in New York City, the band features a collective set of (link hidden)e musicians perform on a variety of instruments including guitars, keyboards, woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings and taps. The musical was created to aspire the next generation of up and coming artist, musicians and entrepreneurs to push the envelope.

Beginning in the womb and continuing forever forward, the beat bonds us. Courtnee Roze- bandleader, producer, lyricist, writer, and percussionist - honors rhythm's place at the heart of the human experience and employs the drum as a life force. She transforms the elemental instrument in thoroughly modern ways: playing with meter and layering monologue, dance, and African sonic landscapes. Free from the constraints of genre, Roze and her percussion-driven collective are creating a culture of their own, A djembe and conga virtuoso, Roze has been a student of percussion since she was seven years old. She Keeps her finger on the pulse, by regularly leading workshops and classes for young musicians in New York City and internationally.
Roze's catalogue of collaborators includes Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Cirque du Soleil, J. Cole, and Tony Award-winner Lachanze (The Color Purple). She has performed on storied stages from grand (Carnegie Hall and The Apollo Theater) to intimate (Joe's Pub and National Sawdust) to cutting - edge (Afropunk Brooklyn's main stage, where she opened for Solange). In 2016, Roze was awarded a theater residency at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, where she recently returned for a sold- out series of performances. Courtnee Roze just finished up an extended run on the Broadway musical "Summer" -THE DONNA SUMMER STORY.
One of Courtnee Roze's biggest performances to date -opening for the legendary Sailf Keita from West Africa at the Celebrate Brooklyn Festival.
