Overview
Any sort of piano or keyboard at your service! I'm Jordan, and I have experience in jazz, pop, rock, musical theater, or really anything you'd want. While piano isn’t my main gig (I’m currently a resident physician at Emory/Grady), I've been playing piano my entire life, and have experience playing concerts, weddings, bar mitzvahs, receptions, musicals, and more. I excel at picking up new songs quickly by ear and love the challenge of recognizing chord progressions on the spot. Let me know how I could make your event a great one!

April 18, 2022Jordan Keys was the perfect choice!
Jordan was the pianist during our Daughters' wedding at the Georgian Terrace Hotel during the Cocktail hour. He was on time, professional, and very friendly. He played beautifully, and the song choices were perfect! It was a formal affair, and Jordan was impeccably dressed. I would recommend Jordan to anyone in need of a pianist!

November 30, 2021Met my expectations
It was a pleasure having Jordan as the pianist for my wedding. He was on time, he knew the assignment, and he played great selection of songs. He matched the tempo with the tempo of the walk. I asked him to play the traditional "Here Comes the Bride" emotionally and beautifully, and he met my expectations. I did have few people who are experienced piano players tell me he messed up here and there. But overall, he was on time and knew how to match with the walk and the mood.

About
Hey there! As you can tell, my name is Jordan Couceyro. I am currently a medical student at Emory, but I have been playing piano and engaging with music nearly my entire life. I started taking piano lessons as a kid, focusing on more practical skills like reading music and relative pitch as applied to playing tunes quickly. As I got older I started incorporating classical music to build my technical skill in addition to the pop, rock, and soundtrack stuff I already played. In high school I both started playing keys for my school's jazz band and did a lot of songleading work through youth group and volunteering in hospitals. While the former obviously gave me jazz/funk/salsa chops, the latter did a lot to train my ear for chord progressions and train my ability to sing while playing.
I then went to Vanderbilt University for Neuroscience, yup, not music. I guess not shocking considering I'm a med student now, huh? Makes sense that I made sure to go to college in Music City, though. In college, I started off doing more of the same -- playing in jazz combos, volunteering, and small projects here and there that trained my ear, arranging, and bandleading abilities (even playing on the streets of Downtown Nashville once or twice!). Midway through school, I started working as an accompanist for the theater organizations on Vanderbilt's campus, playing for auditions, rehearsals, and shows.
I'm currently living in Atlanta and playing gigs on the side when not studying for something. As you can see, I've played in basically genre or setting you could want. I'm flexible, learn quickly, and just love playing; throw me at any gig you need and I can do it! Gigs I've played in the past few months include weddings, dinner parties, and rock concerts as an organ player. Thanks so much for looking at my page!
Additional booking notes
No requirements for lighting and staging. For larger/outdoor events it's great if you have a sound system or PA, but I can rent a speaker if needed (this would cause my fee to go up because this rental isn't free!)

Set list
Basically anything you want, heavily dependent on the setting and audience! One of my strengths is playing songs on the fly, and using online services such as Ultimate Guitar Tabs and Sheet Music Direct Pass I can pull up sheet music/chords for theoretically anything you could want.
Influences and inspiration
Errol Garner and Chick Corea for jazz, Aivi and Surasshu and the Animal Crossing soundtracks for more ambient playing! Big fan of music in general and love incorporating the styles of various artists for pop, rock, funk, etc.
