Corey Tolbert was born November 16, 1979. He begins singing gospel at the age of six, while he was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Corey was trained to play the piano by Dr. Lynn Carithers, who also encouraged him to sing. As he grew musically, Dr. Donald Meely trained Corey’s vocal ability as a Countertenor. Later Corey received a full scholarship to studied Music at Indian River State College.

As an adult, Corey relocated to Orlando Florida and became a member of New Life Church of Orlando COGIC. This is where he was educated in music ministry under the direction of Minister of Music C. Lajuan Adams & Margret Hester. As he progressively developed in his gifts, Bro. Corey was led by the Spirit of GOD to become a member of Fresh Anointing COGIC. As his Pastor and mentor, Superintendent Pastor Ricky Rose instilled in Corey the importance of praising and worshiping God with all his heart and soul. This is a belief and value that Corey still holds near and dear to his heart.

In 2008, Corey relocated back to his hometown, Fort Pierce Florida. At this time he became a member of One Lord One faith One Baptism House of Prayer, where Dr. Betty J. White is the pastor. At One Lord One faith One Baptism House of Prayer, Corey is the current praise and worship leader, director of musicians, worship arts, and mass choir music. In 2011 Corey was compel to join the Worship leader’s Association Inc. These roles are fulfilling to his desire to please God. To keep him motivated on this blessed course, Corey’s mottos are: “Live what you sing about” & “Praise is what I do”

Through his travels, he remains under the watchful leadership of Dr. Betty J white and Pastor Yvette Holmes - Bracely.
