We had the absolute pleasure of having Conor James as our wedding singer and pianist, and he was truly one of the highlights of our entire day.
From the very beginning, Conor was thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding special. After meeting him at the Anaheim Bridal Show, we knew we had found someone talented—but what really stood out was how much he cared. He took the time to understand our music preferences, stayed engaged throughout the planning process, joined prep calls, and even helped connect us with our DJ.
On the day of the wedding, he was incredible. His voice is soulful, emotional, and beautifully controlled, and he brought exactly the right energy to every part of the celebration—from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. He learned and performed two very meaningful songs for us, “Unreserved Love” and “It’s You,” and absolutely nailed both. It made those moments feel so personal and unforgettable.
We had so many guests come up to us throughout the night telling us how amazing he was. His performance carried so much warmth, love, and joy, and really set the tone for the entire wedding. And seeing him jump in on the dance floor towards the end was such a fun and memorable touch.
If you’re looking for a live wedding musician who is not only incredibly talented but also kind, professional, and easy to work with—Conor is it. We can’t recommend him highly enough.

Conor was a delight to work with from start to finish. I reached out, gave him minimal details of the event and he made everything happen without a bump in the road. Conor's musical style brought the vibe and flair we wanted to turn a somber funeral into a celebration of life. Not only is Conor an excellent musician, he's great with business and a truly special person inside and out. Everyone asked about the music and how we found someone so awesome. He closed out the party with 'your song' by Elton John and there was not a dry eye in the room. A big thanks to Conor for honoring my Uncle the way he did. Forever grateful!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Conor was incredibly entertaining and brought such a great atmosphere to our event. He was professional from start to finish and very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.
He arrived an hour early to make sure everything was set up perfectly, which I really appreciate. He even adapted seamlessly during the event - starting outdoors then moving inside during dinner without any issues at all.

Conor James is The Real Deal it was my father’s viewing and let me tell you he delivered and did not fumble once. Let’s start off with he’s gigantic repertoire collection of songs and if he doesn’t have the song he’ll learn it upon request. Also he’s punctual, communicative which is key, great personality, and fantastic voice. It was a nice touch let’s just say he was the cherry on top to my father’s viewing. Conor thank you for playing my father’s music and making that day special for the family brother.

What to expect
Expect a diverse and fresh mix of covers, including jazz standards, old soul records, and acoustic reimaginations of classic rock n roll songs. Conor is willing and able to adapt to any atmosphere, and likes to maintain an open dialogue with his clientele in terms of what they want played at their event. He will even take requests in advance!
About
Originally from greater Boston, Conor's musical lore is rooted in benchmark moments of his life. Growing up the younger brother of another music-obsessed singer brought his ears to the likes of Green Day and Desmond Dekker. Realizing queerness at a young age introduced the unique solace of indie music, and later during his time in New York City, invited him into a culture of rich history and musical tradition: house, pop, techno…
What brought him to New York in the first place was musical theatre; Conor developed a classically trained voice at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and established a deep respect for the performing arts and the technical training it requires to be great. He graduated from school dead-set on singing for his living, frequently performing original songs at all of the ubiquitous NYC venues: Rockwood, The Knitting Factory, Arlene's Grocery…
All the while waiting tables to make ends meet, Conor began to play more and more private parties around the city: slugging heavy gear on the subway to weddings, birthdays, celebrations of life, etc. The repetition sharpened his musicality and he became very comfortable making cover songs his own. Conor invokes a wide range of musical influences: Elton John, Lady Gaga, Frank Ocean, Billy Joel, Sade… to honor the greatest songs ever written by telling their stories in a new way.
Conor resides in Los Angeles, California and is developing his artist project, playing gigs around town, and developing his Youtube channel with cover songs and vlog/personal essay content.
