What to expect

Before we meet I will request an idea of what you're looking for including style of dance, purpose of dance, amount of expected dancers in routine, music etc. You can request an in person meeting (local only) or virtual meeting before choreography begins. I will also ask for some preliminary information about the skill level of the dancers and any special tricks or steps they would like to be featured. When we meet I will do introductions and get to know the dancers for the first fifteen to thirty minutes. Then teaching choreography will begin (recording allowed). I will balance the booked time to learn choreography with the need of the dancers so that the choreography will be completed and dancers will feel comfortable with what they have learned. I will also provide a video of the choreography. Notes and clarifications available upon request. Contract will be signed at the time of booking.

About

Robyn McMahan is a Chicago-based choreographer trained in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and musical theater jazz. After training in the dance minor program at Central Michigan University she began her career as a dance teacher and choreographer. She found her passion creating dynamic choreography for dance competitions and concerts. Additional booking notes

I will provide a portable bluetooth speaker if needed. Make sure dance space is open and clear and that the floor is free of objects and/or debris so that choreography can be taught and learned safely.
