Columbia Raas
Overview
Columbia Raas (est. 2003) is Columbia University's nationally competitive South Asian dance team that celebrates the energy and tradition of the Western Indian dance style, Garba-Raas. Our performances showcase high energy, unique formations, and skillful dandiya maneuvers. We are also available to perform Bollywood dances at select events.
CU Raas performs at various venues on and off campus, and competes in Garba Raas competitions across the United States. At home in NYC, CU Raas strives to be an exciting addition to the diversity of dance styles and cultural experiences available for our fellow New Yorkers.
