Columbia Jones is a dynamic performer of Blues, Country, and Pop music. Once a street performer playing for dimes and dollars, he now tours the Rocky Mountains and brings his band to bars, venues, city streets, and houses everywhere. One of the things that makes his group unique is the his set up. Columbia most of the time plays with a lead guitarist and bassist but without a drummer. Instead, he uses his feet to create the drums. This is perfect for small events where volume is an issue.
Price Range: $200-$1500
Gig Length: 30 - 240 minutes
What to Expect
What Columbia brings to the table is classic blues and country delivered in a family friendly way, at the right volume.
Currently, Columbia Jones performs most with his trio where Columbia uses his feet while playing guitar and singing to create the rhythm section. An impressive feat, it is made all the more appealing when you realize that he isn't kit keeping it simple. Columbia Jones is a real drummer who has toured the country and knows how to add creative and meaningful percussion to mixes. Additionally, you don't get a volume issue with having a live drummer in smaller situation that drowns out the vocals or guitars. Just clean, tight, and talented musicians.
Columbia Jones can also come solo, with a stand up bassist, or with a drummer for bigger situations where energy is key. Either way, he can fit any room. Columbia has played in Orchestras, Jazz groups, Heavy Metal Bands, and Folk bands. Rest assured, he'll have the right sound and volume.
Growing up in rural southern Maine, Columbia Jones jumped on a train at the age of 22 to pursue his passion of being a musician in a big city. An impressive drummer and studio engineer, Columbia saw himself in the Spring of 2016 facing medical bills, a struggling studio, and the gigs just not happening as a drummer. So, a one time regular gigging guitarist, he bought a small foot tambourine and hit the streets with his guitar and a bass drum. On the streets, you can't be shy and Columbia learned quickly what would get crowds gathered and what wouldn't make him any money. After countless hours belting as loud as he could on the streets, Columbia's voice grew into the sound and became one of the shining features of his sounds.
Now Columbia Jones is touring the Rocky Mountains with his band in toe. With dizzying intensity, he will have played gigs in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, California, Texas, and Alberta by the end of the year. It may not be long before his name is on the tip of more and more peoples tongues.
