About

It was the day of the North Pole Championship Huddle, and excitement buzzed in the icy air like tinsel on a turbo sleigh. Coach Santa stood proud at the fifty-snowflake line, now sporting a custom Kansas City Chiefs letter jacket—bright red with golden trim, sleigh-slick and stitched with candy cane thread. The sleigh bell on his whistle jingled with authority.

Today’s mission? Celebrate each child’s unique superpower.

A group of children, bundled in scarves and mittens from all over the world, gathered as Coach Santa called them in close. He handed each child a shimmering snowball—it glowed faintly, warm and humming with magic. “These snowballs only light up,” he said, eyes twinkling, “when you do something kind for someone else.”

The game began. A girl from Olathe helped a boy from Overland Park tie his boots. A child from Kansas City taught one from Grandview how to say “thank you.” Snowballs started glowing—first pink, then blue, then gold—as acts of kindness filled the field.

Near the end, a young boy named Henry hesitated. His snowball stayed dim. Sensing his worry, a girl with braids and freckles offered him hers, saying, “We can share the light.” Just then—ding!—both snowballs burst into shimmering gold.

Coach Santa whooped and threw his Chiefs cap into the air. “Now that is what I call a championship play!”

He handed each of them a patch that read: “Light the World, One Kindness at a Time.”
