What to expect
We are veteran group of experienced musicians that can bring class professionalism and have your audience dancing and having fun. We are a six piece band with a female lead singer, sax, keys and rhythm section to bring a full sound with both well known, and unique songs. Audiences always comment on loving the variety and songs we do and on the lush vocals. Our focus is bringing out the best in any song and having fun with the music so audiences can party with us in the music.
This is a six-piece band that can perform with less but having the full complement of a real sax player and great instrumentalists makes for not just a dance set but a real high level show. Although our club focus is R&B and what is now called "Yacht Rock" type of Classic Rock, members of this band can do straight classic rock, some country and even old standards if is requested for the gig. That is the advantage of employing veteran professionals.
We have a full PA system and lighting on our own if needed for an event.

Clever Soul is not just another cover band. It has a sound that brings the best of Neo Soul/ R&B/Blues and classic rock with the sophistication of Steely Dan. Whether playing covers or original compositions, audiences respond to the catchy melodies and high levels of musicianship while dancing to the infectious grooves. With 5 vocalists, keys, sax and guitar Clever Soul is able to recreate the lush sound that you want from classic soul Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind and Fire, Aretha) and rock (Doobies, Steely Dan, David Bowie, Police).
If desired for a gig we can add in jazz for a dinner set or take requests for specific dance/special meaning songs for your event.
Clever Soul is led by two longtime collaborators/composers, David Harris - guitar and vocals and Belinda Elias – dynamic lead vocals. Band is drummer/vocalist Steve Nordé, Bassist/vocalist Bruce McFaul, Pierre Louis on woodwinds, guitar & vocals, and Keyboardist David Jacques.

We can work in most any set up. We usually perform as a 6-piece band so there does need to be some room but we have adjusted often. We can bring our own sound system and lighting if needed.
