What to expect
Claim The Distance is a solo, multi-instrument live music experience, thoughtfully tailored to complement the atmosphere of your venue and the people you've invited to share it.
KEEPING WHAT MADE THE SONG MEMORABLE: Every song deserves its own approach. Some are most powerful when performed with a single instrument and voice. Others come alive because of the iconic piano, guitar, string, organ, or orchestral parts that made the original unforgettable.
ARRANGER / PRODUCER STYLE: Rather than performing every song the same way, CTD approaches each one like an arranger or producer—blending vocals with piano, acoustic and electric guitars, orchestral strings, organ, and other carefully chosen instrumentation to recreate the emotion and energy of the song in the moment. The result is a performance that grows naturally, often revealing familiar musical elements in fresh and unexpected ways while remaining true to the heart of the original.
PLEASANT SURPRISES: Every arrangement unfolds in real time. Instead of relying on prerecorded backing tracks or traditional looping approaches that visibly build a song layer by layer, each performance evolves organically, allowing familiar musical elements to emerge at just the right moment—creating an experience that is both authentic and full of pleasant surprises.
A THOUGHTFULLY CURATED REPERTOIRE:
Every performance features a carefully selected blend of familiar favorites and original music, creating an experience that feels both timeless and personal.

About
I started playing piano at age 7 and guitar at age 16. Throughout my adult life, music has been an oasis—a place to step back from the details of the day, revisit favorite memories, find inspiration, and gather the courage to climb the next hill in life.
That's why I created Claim The Distance in the summer of 2026 - To share that with others.
Whether I'm performing for a dinner crowd, a private celebration, or a corporate event, my goal is always the same: to help people relax, connect, smile, sing along, and enjoy being together.
I also write original music, and I enjoy creating custom songs for clients who want something truly personal and memorable.
Additional booking notes
CTD can provide it's own PA, mixer, and gear. For venues that have their own sound equipment/team, or for long distance travel, the specs of what is provided by CTD and what is provided by the client are custom-created during the quote process.

Influences and inspiration
You can see my influences through my set lists today. I play the songs of my first heroes going back to when I began to develop my tastes, as well as the new artists that continue to expand my horizons. That's why some of my set lists go from Elton John to Willie Nelson to Leo Capaldi, back to Eric Clapton, and over to Passenger, jumping into Nelly, and from there to Collective Soul before rounding out with Ben Rector or George Strait.
