As a former contestant on NBC’s The Voice, I’ve played everything from intimate gatherings to weddings and corporate events. July 5, 2023Christopher provided the background music for a birthday party I hosted, and ended up being the star of the show (and not because he intended to be, he's just THAT good). We couldn't help but pause our conversations to watch and listen to him perform song after song of excellent material, and we wish he hadn't moved to Los Angeles so we could have him again without flying him up here. My name is Christopher Reyne, and I’m a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Raleigh, North Carolina. I’ve spent over 25 years performing both solo and with a variety of groups, building a repertoire of more than five hours of original and cover material.
My sets draw from decades of music I genuinely love, from artists like The Beatles, Elton John, David Bowie, and Fleetwood Mac to The Killers, Depeche Mode, Death Cab for Cutie, R.E.M., and Radiohead. I also enjoy weaving in original music when it fits the moment. My aim is always the same: create something that feels familiar, natural, and engaging without ever feeling forced or out of place.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to have music take me all across the country, playing everywhere from intimate house concerts to packed venues, weddings and corporate events, and even as a contestant on NBC's the Voice. Those experiences have shaped me as a performer and strengthened my ability to read a room and adjust in real time. Whether you’re looking for something relaxed and atmospheric or more lively and interactive, I tailor each set to fit the energy of the space and the people in it.
I’m always mindful that live music should enhance an experience, not compete with it. That means paying close attention to dynamics, volume, and flow, and knowing when to sit back and create a warm backdrop, and when to lean in and draw people in.
