What to expect
For weddings, events and concerts I play beautiful, melodic classic guitar music as well as a few standard pop and Brazilian tunes. Among the favorite pop songs I play are "And I Love Her," "Yesterday," and "Norwegian Wood" by the Beatles and "Vincent" by Don McLean. I also have a fantastic jazz group that plays just about everything as well as a few of my original jazz tunes. Please visit my website linked on GigSalad
About
I'd love to provide music for your event. I've been "first call" at the Mansion on Turtle Creek, the Crescent Club, Crescent Hotel, and several other high-end venues. I’ve played guitar music for more than 300 weddings and hundreds more social, corporate and special events. Among my clients are many of the leading families in the DFW area including the Perot. Dedman, Strauss, Rachofsky, Bass and Hunt families. I played a private concert for George W. Bush at the Crescent Club several years ago and have played for the president of Mexico and members of the Spanish Royal Family. In addition to playing concerts on five continents, I studied with the legendary Spanish guitarist Andres Segovia in Spain.
I'm willing to be competitive with the other guitarists in the area, and I feel I provide the highest level of playing and professionalism. The guitar is use for social engagements is the same $35,000 Greg Smallman concert guitar I use in concerts, and I use a state of the art AER small amplification system that has a beautiful sound for acoustic guitar. There are videos and bio on my website linked below.
FOR CONCERTS, WEDDINGS, SPECIAL EVENTS:
Although I've performed in prestigious halls and collaborated with many famous musicians I really enjoy making the music for your wedding or event perfect. As a soloist or bandleader I'll provide the highest quality and professionalism. The musicians I choose my various ensembles are hand picked from the best our area has to offer. I'll make sure everything is “just right” when your guests arrive. Many instrumental combinations are available and fees are competitive. Please visit my website (linked below) for more information, videos and sound samples.
I've performed hundreds of formal solo concerts in the United States, Mexico, Japan, Venezuela, Germany and Spain and have performed more than 2000 informal performances in schools and other community venues in cities throughout North America, Spain and Japan. My direct influences are as varied as they come, ranging from private lessons with Segovia in Spain to jam sessions with Stevie Ray Vaughn. Until 2001 I was a faculty member of the University of Dallas and North Lake College in Irving.

Set list
I have an extensive repertoire of classical guitar music.
The jazz group can play virtually anything. Send us your wish list and we'll have it in our "book."
Influences and inspiration
Direct influences: I am fortunate to have studied with several of the world's most famous guitarists including Andres Segovia, Pepe Romero, Oscar Ghiglia and Robert Gurthrie. When I was 13 years of age, Stevie Ray Vaughn joined my brother's rock band. Stevie was 15 and was already an amazing guitarist. We would sit and play guitars during the band's breaks. In addition to teaching me to play blues, he taught me to pick songs off of records. After he left for Austin I joined my brother's band, but I never say I replaced Stevie.
