Overview

Christoph Merrill is a Certified Speaking Professional, entrepreneur, and habit researcher who helps leaders and teams perform when pressure hits. Across more than 1,533 days on stage and 250+ multi-day experiences, he has worked with rooms from 500 to 25,000 people. His two keynotes, When Pressure Hits and One Habit Away, take on the same problem: your people already know the standard, but pressure changes what they actually do. Expect a high-energy, highly interactive session where the audience participates, decides, and commits to one behavior they can repeat long after the event. Available as a 60-minute keynote, a 2-hour deep dive, or a half-day intensive.

What to expect

Not a lecture. An experience built to change what happens next.

Five reasons to book Christoph for When Pressure Hits or One Habit Away:

1 - A real problem, clearly named
Your people don't have a knowledge problem, they have a performance-under-pressure problem. Christoph names the gap between what a team says it does when conditions are normal and what it actually does when the stakes rise, then gives the room a practical way to close it.

2 - Earned, not theoretical
1,533+ days on stage, 250+ multi-day experiences led, rooms from 500 to 25,000 people, and two decades of building companies and coaching entrepreneurs. He isn't teaching pressure from the outside looking in.

3 - Grounded in research
Christoph is leading The State of Workforce Habits, a national, PhD-led study of how workplace habits hold up under pressure across fourteen industries, so audiences get evidence instead of slogans.

4 - Interactive by design
Audiences don't just sit, listen, and collect ideas. They participate, decide, commit, and practice while still in the room. Christoph works the stage and the floor with the house lights up, because the interaction is the keynote.

5 - Built to hold after the room empties
The goal isn't a good hour, it's one behavior each person can repeat when pressure returns. Attendees leave with a specific commitment rather than a page of notes they'll never reopen.

Formats: 60-minute keynote, 2-hour deep dive, or half-day intensive for When Pressure Hits; 60-minute keynote plus half-day and multi-day formats for One Habit Away.

About

Christoph Merrill is a Certified Speaking Professional, entrepreneur, and habit researcher whose work centers on one question: what actually holds when pressure hits?

People rarely fail because they don't know what to do. They know the standard, the process, and what's expected. Then the deadline moves, the customer pushes back, the quarter gets tight, and the behavior changes. Christoph helps leaders and teams turn what they know into what they consistently do when conditions get hard.

He learned it by doing the reps. A four-time All American swimmer and water polo player, he cofounded the original Lovesac and helped grow it past $55M in annual sales within four years, then built and delivered an entrepreneur coaching program for more than 1,000 private clients. A decade as a lead trainer for T. Harv Eker's Peak Potentials added 250+ multi-day experiences and rooms of 500 to 25,000 people, totaling 1,533+ days on stage.

The thesis was also tested personally. One rehearsed, nonnegotiable habit saved his life on a morning at Lake Mead. He is open about living with Bipolar Type 1, and in 2019 he stepped away from the stage for five years to care for his mother through Alzheimer's dementia.

Today that work shows up in two keynotes, When Pressure Hits and One Habit Away, and in The State of Workforce Habits, a national, PhD-led research initiative examining how workplace habits perform under pressure across fourteen industries. He is also the founder of knuble, a people-management platform, and the Habit Freak community. He lives in Utah, where he rides mountain trails and is slowly restoring a 1949 Chrysler Town & Country.
