I am a charismatic worship leader who loves to lead people into the presence of God.
We were blessed to have Chris lead worship. He is very sincere, talented, and friendly. Everyone is excited to have him come back in the future. He would be a great addition to any worship service. The service was Spirit-filled, and life transforming. Thank you Chris!

What to Expect
The audience can expect a charismatic, joyful expression of praise and worship that captivates hearts and minds while leading them to a tangible encounter and experience with the presence of God.
I am familiar with contemporary worship music, but have a gospel flair to most of what I do.
Expect an intimate acoustic flow if I am by myself.
Expect a powerful and dynamic experience if I have singers and full band.
I have been a worship leader for over 15 years. In this time, I have grown tremendously and I am blessed to have the opportunity to lead people into the presence of Jesus.
I was raised in a church home. One of the greatest influences in our home was music. Being multi-cultured, I experienced different genres of Christian music in our home. Contemporary and Gospel were staples and these styles influenced me.
I first encountered the presence of God for myself at 10 years old. From there, I was a fiery and passionate pursuer of the Lord. When the fast songs came on, (even if I was the only one) I was jumping up and down, lifting my hands. I had been so marked by what God had done in me.
At 12 years old, I began to teach myself to play guitar and write songs. When I was old enough to join the church youth group, we were going to a charismatic church and I began to lead worship. I had never been exposed to a church where others were as passionate as me in praise and worship so this opened up new things for me.
I was at Covenant Life Church for nearly 10 years leading worship.
In 2009 and 2011, I met up with and joined Eddie James Ministries, a ministry for youth and young adults who have faced very diverse circumstances and have found freedom and are working to overcome them. I was blessed to be a dancer and singer for his ministry until the end of 2011.
In 2012, I began attending a youth church called The Refuge in Mount Washington, Kentucky. I was heavily involved in worship and eventually became the worship leader. Also during my tenure, I auditioned for and made it onto the hit TV show "The Voice".
Shortly thereafter, I met my wife and her two boys. We wed and felt God was calling us to move to Liberty Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
We have been at Liberty Church since 2014 leading worship. My wife is an incredibly gifted singer and it is an honor to lead with her.
2017 was a great year full of different opportunities. As a writer and musician, I really felt it was time to release a music album. In February, I began a Kickstarter campaign to raise $5000 with a 5-song EP in mind. Within a few weeks, all the funds were raised and within the period of 30 days, the goal was exceeded and the 5-song EP became a 7-song EP.
We recorded the album in April, released a single in July, and released the entire EP in August. God was faithful to make things happen when I was willing to take a step of faith, which absolutely exceeded my expectations!
In October, I had the opportunity to participate in a show called "The Sound". This was a regional competition to find America's number one Christian artist. The show was nationally released in over 70 markets with viewership and reach potential of over 50 million people. By November, I was announced the winner of the show and have the opportunity to go to Nashville to potentially be signed as an artist to Centricity Music (Lauren Daigle, Jordan Feliz, Carrollton).
These are things I've accomplished, but the gist of who I am as a person is a lover of people and a lover of God. I am passionate for God and I am passionate about leading people to experience Him like I have. There's not a moment I feel more fulfilled than when I am in His presence and I strive to be in His presence every second of every day. It is because of Him that I am who I am. What I've accomplished has not been without personal struggle. I am not a perfect human being and will never claim to be. We are all on a journey to be more like Him and reflect Him in everything we do. We are all pursuing righteousness and holiness. I fail and I come up short. But, I have a heart that never wants to leave Him or depart from Him. I have a heart that can't live without being close to Him. I have a heart to pursue Him and please Him in all aspects of my life. I have a heart that desires to have character and integrity that speaks to who He is in me.
Though I have a long list of accomplishments, if I had to say which of these things is more important, it's what I saved for last. I didn't put it last because its importance is less than my accomplishments. I put it last because I don't want to be remembered for those things. I want to be remembered by my last statements. I want the impression you get of me to be based on my heart and not the things I've been able to do. Apart from Him I am nothing.
I hope this blessed you and that if it meant something to you or spoke to you in some way, that you'll message me and give me the opportunity to talk with you and maybe meet you soon!
