Christine Orio offers private lessons on both the violin and viola from beginning to advanced levels of study including classical and "fiddle style" playing. She performs professionally with the Rhode Island Philharmonic, the Glimmerglass Opera and the Albany Symphony. She has studied with faculty members of The Mannes School, Manhattan School, The Boston Conservatory and Boston University.
Her career as a free-lance musician includes performances with popular mainstream and rock musicians as well as fiddlers, Broadway legends and world renown classical artists. Rod Stewart, Mark O’Conner, Joshua Bell, Pavarotti and Yo Yo Ma have been some of her favorite on-stage collaborations

June 6, 2022Christine Orio and her cellist friend were delightful. They arrived at our wedding ahead of time and played exceptional Celtic music. At the entrance song they played Gabriel’s Oboe beautifully and then a great lively tune for our recession.
