Amazing addition to our virtual party during the quarantine

Chris joined our virtual party during the quarantine and really got us laughing and talking. Was a unique experience, but was a fun way to make lemonade from lemons

Excellent comedian!

I have hired Chris many times for shows I book all over southern California and he has been excellent! He's hilarious, professional and versatile. I'm glad I have a go to comedian that I don't need to worry is going to say or do something offensive or worst, not be funny. Excellent comedian.

What to expect

Clients can expect up to 60 minutes of stand-up comedy, tailored for the occasion, at a venue of the client’s choosing.

The show can be squeaky-clean (children in the audience/corporate/church) or R-rated comedy for adult oriented audiences (parties/comedy clubs).

Let Chris know if there’s a special person in the audience that might need slight roasting or if the entire crowd is open to be part of the show. The show can also be material only. It’s completely and totally up to you, the client!

The material is tailored but always with funny in mind. Chris Mata brings clever, original, smart material that always pleases the crowd.

About

Chris Mata is an accomplished comedian living in Los Angeles, CA.

He’s appeared on multiple stand-up comedy shows throughout his 20 year career. He’s been seen on Comedy Central, Comics Unleashed, performed at prestigious comedy festivals across the country and has performed internationally for the US soldiers in South Korea, Japan, and the Netherlands.

Originally from San Antonio, TX, Chris spent his formative years training different styles of martial arts. After earning a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, he trained jiu-jitsu extensively at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy and Muay Thai Kickboxing with Peter Cunningham.

The San Antonio Current called Chris “funny – like wicked funny” and described his jokes as “sharp and well crafted.” The Current went on, “It’s almost a crime that a guy who can beat you down physically also has the rapier wit to destroy audiences verbally.”

Chris has three comedy albums released by BSeenMedia. Parental Guidance (2014) El Padrino (2017) & Angry and Racist (2018).
