What to expect

Chris F. Billiot & Random Access bring a vibrant new feel to the throwback sounds of the golden age of folk rock, rock and roll, and alternative sounds. We have a regular following that certainly enjoys a few cold one's while enjoying the show and hanging out with the group afterwards. The age range of the following is as diverse and varied as the music itself. And while they tend to shy away from straight forward cover music, they have a knack for exciting the crowd with pumped up versions of Show Tunes, TV Show themes, and other obscure versions song selections from classic artists.

About

Since 2002, Chris F. Billiot & Random Access has been performing and working to put out a sound that is appealing to all genre of fans. Chris F. Billiot formed the group during a recording session in which musicians interested in the original sound decided to work together on an original music project. Mostly on songs written acoustically by Chris F. Billiot since he began songwriting in 1981.

When Billiot formed Random Access, he made it clear that this band would not be about himself or a few members, but rather breathing concept that would continue on regardless of his involvement or that of any one member of the group. Because of this Random Access has had numerous members who have come and gone and even come back again, to keep this movement of true grass roots rock and roll.

Highlights of Chris F. Billiot & Random Access's performances include shows around the New Orleans Metro music scene such as Tipatinas, Mahalia Jackson Theatre, Twist of Lime, City Park and even a rare performance in historical Jackson Square. Lead Guitarist, Mike James, and Drummer Art Traylor have recently joined the group with Original Bassist Jude Varuso, Chuck Billiot and Brett Patton Backup on Backup Vocals, Horns and Percussion, rounding out the most current incarnation of Random Access.

Additional booking notes

Chris F. Billiot & Random Access love playing in venues with excellent sound and lighting. But they have no major requirements when it comes to tech support, other than electrical outlets within 25 feet and ample space for 5-6 people that simulates a stage.
