Please note that, though I can amplify my instrument to be heard in the event space, I am not able to provide backing tracks or accompaniment at this time.
What to expect during the booking process:
1. First, we will have a 10 - 15 minute phone call to go over your vision and specific details for your event.
2. I draw up a contract with everything we've discussed and email it for your review and signature.
3. I require a 50% deposit to reserve the date for your event, due upon contract signature.
4. On the day of service, I will text to let you know when I'm on the way. I will arrive half an hour before the contracted start time to ensure a smooth start.
5. The remaining 50% is due on the day of service.

Covered by general liability insurance for events.

As an active freelancer in the NYC metro area, Charlotte Munn-Wood performs regularly with orchestras including the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, New England Symphonic Ensemble, Garden State Philharmonic, Manhattan Symphonie, the Curiosity Cabinet, and Richmond County Orchestra. She has appeared internationally in diverse venues, from the Weill Recital Hall and Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall to Roulette Intermedium, the Dimenna Center, National Sawdust, and the BAM Center. Abroad, she has toured Beijing, Tianjin, and Handan with composer Mojiao Wang’s opera Encounter for the Beijing Modern Music Festival.
Munn-Wood is a graduate of the Contemporary Performance Program at the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Dr. Curtis Macomber, and of Western Michigan University as a student of Renata Knific. Away from the violin, she is an avid runner, rock climber, and prolific fiber artist.

I play acoustic violin and bring my own music stand (and, if necessary, my own amplification). When booking me, it's best for the event to be indoors - violins sound best in a room. If outdoors, it cannot be raining, the temperature needs to be above 60 degrees, and my instrument cannot be in direct sun, so please provide a tent or other covering if the event is in the day.
