“Matt was easy to work with and so much fun! He had a great attitude and played along with our DJ so well. 10/10 would use him again in the future. ”
Charlies Steel Drums
Overview
Charlie is the most popular steel drum musician in the north Texas area. People say... "it's like vacation music!" whether it's a loud festive pool party with high energy tropical music or some laid back reggae with a Jimmy Buffett style. Charlies' "Cruise Ship" style of instrumental music is sure to please. Or perhaps a quiet intimate dinner party with a soft Caribbean vibe, sounds nice doesn't it? Well it's like that and a lot more... also at some performances during breaks, Charlie invites the audience to come up to experience and even play on his steel drums, very popular! With more than 10 years of "on time and professional" experience, Charlie has also recorded two music CDs.

July 13, 2026Excellent and Very Professional
Charlie was a wonderful addition to a family member’s memorial service. He was punctual, professional, and the music was perfect. When the event went over what we had planned for, he continued to play which was so appreciated. Highly recommend!

Charlie and his steel drums were a hit! Many residents appreciated his brief history of each song. We all felt as if his smooth island tunes transported us to a vacation in Jamaica! What a great Musical experience!

“My friends were so jealous that they didn't have this band for their event! I wanted something cool, some familiar songs, and both background mellow music then maybe some more upbat songs at the end.... ”
