I play guitar on my lap like a piano. A style referred to as "Lap-Tapping" Similar artists include Any Mckee, Erik Mongrain, John Butler.. I will often mix it with hip hop and/or classical music. I have a catalog of originals as well as popular covers. The style makes for a beautiful sound and is also very fun to watch. Sure to impress guests/attendees at any event. Charles was great to work with. He was very low-maintenance--which I consider wonderful while I had to juggle multiple vendors for our event--and easy-going with our unusual set-up. Hi! My name is Charles Rangel. I've been playing guitar professionally for 10+ years in the LA and Vegas area. I love to travel, in case you are wondering if I play out-of-state gigs. The style I play is commonly referred to as "Tapping". Its beautiful to listen to and super fun to watch. I've performed at many corporate events, summits, conventions, etc. As well as parties, weddings, clubs and festivals. I was featured in several Rolling Stone Magazine articles and have had songs placed in TV and film. Most of my songs are original compositions, but I also play covers. I have a few classical songs, some hip hop and pop as well. many times I play over a beat or instrumental. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
