December 8, 2025We invited this fire dance group to perform at our Solstice Bonfire event, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation. Their performance brought an incredible sense of warmth, magic, and celebration to the evening.
From the very beginning, communication was clear, professional, and easy. They arrived fully prepared, handled all safety logistics confidently, and were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. Their presence elevated the event, and their artistry was truly mesmerizing; graceful, bold, and beautifully choreographed to match the tone of the night.
Not only are they talented performers, but they are also kind, grounded, and community-minded. They interacted thoughtfully with attendees, added to the welcoming atmosphere, and helped make the event feel special, memorable, and cohesive.

Chana Hoops offers both ambient performing as well as choreographed stage shows with her props. Whether you are looking for an LED, fire, or basic show, Chana will bring energy and delight.
On the stage, Chana brings a musicality that defies genre. She can tailor her choreography to the vibe of you event. Whether you're looking for an upbeat circus show or something more emotional, a lyrical expression or a theatrical impression, Chana can do it all.
In the ring of fire, Chana is raw expression. While still bringing her rhythmic and energetic intellegence, she dances with the flames as moved by the heat of the moment, captivating audiences with her playful intensity.
And, as a street performer, Chana can also hang out in the background of an event and offer an ambient experience for your guests with either LEDs or just plain ol' plastic circles. If desired, she will also bring extra hoops and juggling props for guests to play along and maybe even learn some new tricks.
Chana Hoops, aka Alex Chana, is a flow artist and fire performer who specializes in hoop dance. Whether performing with fire, LEDs, or regular ol’ plastic, her performances are engaging, emotional, and revelatory, as she uses this art form to channel and process the joys and challenges of life. Through the medium of her hoops and the musicality of her body, she tells her stories in an embodied expression that tends to captivate audiences and leave them wanting more.
In the decade and a half of practicing this art form, Chana has gained experience hooping on the stage, on the streets, and just about everywhere in between—bunkers, beaches, bars, fire circles, rooftops, mountaintops…you name it!
And in addition to being a solo performer, Chana has been a part of Feral Fire—Olympic Peninsula’s local fire troupe—since 2017, and also performs and teaches with the local circus school Pop-Up Movement.
Chana is available for hire year-round and can tailor performances to match the tone and theme of your event.
LIGHTING
For fire & LED: usually there are no lighting requirements, depending on the gig. For stage shows with non-illuminated hoops, I will be relying on your provided lighting systems, or natural day lighting.
STAGING
I will generally need at least a 15 x 15 space partitioned space for the full effect and safety of a fire performance. For LED and non-illuminated hoops I can use a smaller space, depending on the act.
SOUND
Ideally you provide a sound system where I can hook up a phone to play my music. Otherwise, I have some options I can bring for a smaller, less impactful sound experience.
Additional needs may arise depending on the expectations and vision of the client. Happy to get creative in most of these areas, except in terms of sacrificing safety.
While Galexy does have a bag full of choreography ready to go (set to songs like Feeling Good by Michael Buble, Wonderful from the Wicked Original Musical Soundtrack, The Seed by Aurora, When I Was Older by Billie Eilish, and Human by Sevdeliza), she loves to create tailor made acts specific to your event, and or just free flow to whatever genre vibe you want to bring to your event.
Galexy's biggest inspirations as a hooper, flow artist, and circus performer are Brecken Rivara, Lisa Lottie, Taylor Flows and so many more.
She unwittingly absorbed her musicality from her mother who is an award-winning classical pianist and doctor of music.
