Reuben's events can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Longer performances are enhanced by a slideshow that Reuben speaks from for the first 3/4 of the event. The final 15 minutes of the performance is a live chalk drawing performance that Reuben does to music. After the event the host can keep the drawing. Reuben comes prepared with plastic drop clothes for the stage area around the performance to protect the area and any equipment from dust.
Ideally, this needs to be an indoor setting where Reuben has an elevated area to work on that is at a minimum 12 ft x12ft with 8ft of ceiling clearance. Also good lighting is recommended so the audience can clearly see and enjoy the performance.
Reuben will need access to electricity for sound equipment. He can bring sound equipment if needed however can work with A/V personnel at your facility to make sure that everything is covered. For his talk a wireless headset mic is preferred but he can use a handheld.
Reuben custom creates the talk, drawing and experience for each group. If you arent sure what you are wanting in terms of subject matter he is more than willing to talk through options, ideas or inspiration to arrive at a meaningful message.
An artist his whole life, Reuben Smith, seeks to inspire and engage audiences. A 2005 Graduate of Berea College and veteran camp director, Reuben has worked for nearly two decades in the Not-For-Profit community serving his community. His events seek to be both meaningful and authentic. Most recently, Reuben spoke for over 800 college age Freshmen at Carson-Newman University.
