December 3, 2014Multicultural Summit
Cha was an extraordinary presenter in sharing her story. It was motivating, encouraging and invited audience participation with questions, comments and the post evaluations were glowing reviews. The presentation on Every Girl Needs Her Pearls was very well received by young, middle age and older women to build self esteem and support each other with validation and respect. I know this engagement led to other speaking engagements; Cha ' s presence is of confidence and authority but non-intimidating; a sense that she's approachable.

What to expect
Cha shares her REAL life stories of overcoming a childhood learning disability, walking through fear, starting over after losing her home, and building a business only to have to begin from absolutely nothing. Her strong faith and positive attitude doesn't allow her to quit. Her stories are laced with many bruises, but one thing for sure, she has never been broken. She continues with the challenge to never give up, but her turning point comes after she relies that her "dream job" isn't answering her heart's desires.
After being downsized, Cha moved to Charlotte, NC, where one day she sat on her couch and simple stated aloud, "I want to travel the world." Within two days she received an email from a recruiter asking her to come teach in South Korea, but with the only reference to Korea being the popular 70's television show MASH, she swiftly stroked the delete button and trashed the only option to seeing the world, so she thought. Stories continue with lessons in of overcoming fear, stepping out of other people's boxes, listening to the voice in your own heart, and being willing to redefine your journey.
In closing, the audience can't help but to be on their feet cheering for the victor that lives inside of them, with tears in their eyes, they are ready to do something different. Cha doesn't just leave people with stories, she inspires change.
About
Cha Jones is a powerhouse of truth, tenderness, and transformation — a woman whose life story reads like a passport stamped with courage. She is an international author, Soul Alignment Coach, healing facilitator, and transformational speaker who has spent nearly two decades helping women step out of fear, rewrite their stories, and build lives they can finally feel at home in.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Cha learned early that the world would try to define her by limits — a learning disability, a mother battling mental illness, being the eldest daughter who learned to carry what should’ve crushed her. But Cha also learned something else: when a Black woman decides to reclaim her own narrative, she becomes unstoppable.
Today, Cha is known for her signature blend of storytelling, spiritual wisdom, and deeply human truth. She speaks with the clarity of a woman who has lived through reinvention, the courage of someone who has walked through fire, and the compassion of a big sister who refuses to let you shrink when you were born to expand. Her audiences don’t just listen; they transform.
A Global Life with a Purpose
Cha’s journey as a “self-proclaimed Nomadic Chick” began with a one-way ticket to Seoul, South Korea, where she lived, taught, and spoke for more than three years. That leap cracked her world open. She went on to travel through China, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, immersing herself in cultures that reshaped her views on identity, freedom, and possibility.
She didn’t just collect passport stamps — she collected stories, wisdom, and an unwavering belief that you can rebuild your life anywhere in the world if you first rebuild it within.
Her reflections on global living, identity, and intercultural transitions have appeared on platforms including:
Women of Color Living Abroad
My Soul to Seoul
The Nomadic Chic
Black Atlas
And various international travel and lifestyle communities
These stories positioned Cha as a trusted voice in global mobility, especially for women of color seeking safety, community, and freedom abroad.
Founder of Expat Women of Color
In 2011, Cha founded Expat Women of Color, an international networking association that became a lifeline for thousands of women navigating life abroad. Long before “digital nomad” was a trend, Cha built a movement — one that provided support, community, resources, and real sisterhood for women whose stories often went unheard in mainstream expat spaces.
Under her leadership, the organization grew into a hub for connection, empowerment, and global storytelling. Cha’s mission was clear: to ensure women of color not only had access to global opportunities but also felt seen, valued, and supported once they arrived.
Educator, Scholar, and Advocate
Cha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Aquinas College and a Master’s degree in Intercultural Leadership and Management from the SIT Graduate Institute, where she specialized in international education and cross-cultural understanding. Her academic work deepened her passion for increasing minority participation in study abroad programs, international service learning, and global leadership development.
For years, Cha has worked with international education organizations, global conferences, and Fortune 500 companies, offering:
Intercultural training
Global workforce development
Diversity and inclusion consulting
Personal and professional development workshops
International relocation and transition coaching
Her work consistently centers marginalized voices and empowers individuals to live, lead, and communicate with authenticity.
A Speaker Who Transforms a Room
Cha’s speaking style is warm, witty, direct, and deeply resonant. She has a way of telling the truth with compassion — the kind of truth that disarms you, frees you, and inspires you to take action.

Her keynotes and workshops cover:
Soft Living as a Path to Healing

The Author & Healer
Cha is the author of Every Girl Needs Her Pearls, The New Urban International Migration, The Writer’s Pathway, Soft Landing: A Return to Self, and several healing-centered journals, guides, and courses. Her writing style blends teaching with testimony, weaving together spirituality, storytelling, and inner work in a way that resonates across cultures and generations.
Her signature philosophy — Freedom Ain’t Free — reminds women that liberation requires truth-telling, boundary-setting, and willingness to break out of inherited stories.
As a Soul Alignment Coach, Cha guides women through:
Healing their inner narratives
Releasing outdated identities
Reconnecting with purpose
Designing a life they don’t need to recover from
Reclaiming their softness after years of survival mode
She specializes in supporting women 40+ who are navigating transitions, rediscovering themselves, and building lives rooted in authenticity rather than obligation.
A Mission with Global Impact
Cha’s life work centers on helping women step into alignment — emotionally, spiritually, and purposefully. Her message reaches across borders, identities, and lived experiences because it is true everywhere:
When a woman remembers who she is, everything around her changes.
Her mission has always been to make an international impact, not simply through travel, but through transformation. She teaches women to trust themselves, listen to their inner knowing, walk through fear, and create a life that reflects their truth.
Whether she is on a stage, hosting a workshop, writing a book, or guiding a client through a major life transition, Cha shows up with the same energy: real, grounded, compassionate, and deeply committed to helping others rise.
