June 19, 2025Christian was an absolute gem from start to finish. He played during our prelude, ceremony, and cocktail hour—and his music truly elevated every moment. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he was also super easy to work with, affordable, and completely open to collaborating on a personalized playlist.
One of the standout moments of the entire day was when our dog, Indy, came down the aisle as the ring bearer—and Christian surprised our guests by playing the Indiana Jones theme song. It was hilarious, cinematic, and heartfelt all at once—everyone loved it, and it made the ceremony feel uniquely us.
His music during the cocktail hour was the perfect vibe: elegant but fun, and just what we were hoping for. If you’re looking for a cellist who’s professional, creative, and incredibly gifted, Christian is the one.
Highly, highly recommend! Oh yea and he has a twin brother & college friends that play the violin, in case you’re looking for a duet - which we were and they both played in sync.

April 2, 2025Christian played at our son’s wedding. We met beforehand to discuss the music selections. We booked Christian and a violinist for the event. He arrived at the venue in plenty of time, got set up and played beautifully! The wedding had a much richer ambiance with the cello and violin being played live as opposed to recorded selections. He has an extensive repertoire to choose from, which was helpful and enjoyable to hear. I would highly recommend Christian and plan to use him again should the need arise.

Christian Ovalle is a cellist with performance experience across the United States, performing under conductors Gustavo Dudamel, Eric Jacobsen, Daniel Bartholomew Poiser, and Kirt Mosier. He has performed in renowned venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Kennedy Center, Steinmetz Hall, Colburn School, Emory University, and the University of Southern California. Notably, Christian was featured in a music video at Walt Disney World that garnered over 100 million views on YouTube. In recent times, he has participated in master classes with David Ying, Melissa Kraut, Ismael Guerrero, and Felix Wang.
Christian has maintained an active lifestyle of involvement in professional development, artistry, education, and advocacy.
In the summer of 2024, Christian attended the Sphinx NAAS Audition Intensive in partnership with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach where he participated in mock auditions, lessons, masterclasses, and panels with orchestral professionals.
In January of 2024, he was awarded a fellowship to attend Sphinx Organization’s SphinxConnect 2024 Conference: Amplify, the largest and longest-standing convening dedicated to diversity and inclusion in classical music.
During the summers of 2023 and 2024, he attended the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute (NSO SMI) on full scholarship, holding the Paula & Tom Mims Chair at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
In March of 2023, Christian was one of two collegiate cellists selected to perform in a masterclass with David Ying at the annual ASTA National Conference.
Previously, in the summer of 2022, he took part in the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s YOLA National Festival Symphony on full scholarship, debuting in Walt Disney Concert Hall under the baton of Maestro Dudamel. Currently pursuing a BM in Cello Performance at the University of Central Florida, Christian performs with the UCF Symphony Orchestra, UCF Cello Choir. He serves as a section cellist for the Space Coast Symphony and substitute for the Tallahassee Symphony. He also maintains an active private cello studio, teaching students of all levels.
Outside of music, he enjoys bass fishing, penny-boarding, competitive table tennis, and rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays.
