February 5, 2026I attended a wedding which I found to be unique, beautiful and meaningful. The music was provided by Cellista. It laid the groundwork and supported and enhanced the actual ceremony. Cellista, using her looper, made the music seem like multiple cellos were performing Tchaikovsky and set the stage for a spectacular entrance of the couple. Later, Cellista provided background music that was superb. She is an outstanding musician that not only has mastered her instrument but has the artistic creativity to tailor her performance to achieve the goals of her clients.
After that I made a point of attending a performance staged by House of Cellista and featuring
Cellista on aerial cello with two additional trapeze artists. The staging was magnificent; it was innovative, artistic and unfolded as a beautiful poem. What an imaginative, incredible, versatile performer! I recommend her without reservation.

September 18, 2018Freya was so great to work with! She was kind, quick to respond to all messages and overall easy to work with. My now husband and I needed a cellist to perform the opening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture which is no easy feat considering it requires 8 cellos. Freya's solution was to use her loop pedal to prerecord the arrangement while playing the melody live. It sounded incredible from start to finish and (I was told) the performance brought many to happy tears. She also played our cocktail hour and the musical selection and ambiance it created was exactly what we hoped for.
I would highly recommend hiring Freya/ Cellista for any event. The level of professionalism and performance with and without the loop pedal makes her a cut above the rest.

December 16, 2017She was wonderful from start to finish. Her recommendations were perfect, she was communicative, and of course her playing was incredible. The mood was set, it was all beautiful and dreamy and one couldn't help swaying along. Oh, and despite traffic making everyone else late, she and the violinist she came with were spot on time. Probably early--they were playing when I (the hostess) arrived.

One arm-less chair for all performances
For outdoor gigs, shade and covering is required to protect the cello and equipment from sun and water damage.
Amplified Performances:
For venues with a sound set-up, Cellista's requirements are simple: a 1/4" input DI and a monitor.
