About
Samantha is a harpist and pianist in the Mount Horeb, WI area. She started piano at the age of 5 and harp at the age of 11. Since 2008, she has played professionally as an event musician for weddings, social events, fundraisers, religious services, and funerals. Her musical adventures have taken her to the stage as Principal Harpist for the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, College of St. Benedict Orchestra, and the Minnesota Ballet Company. She earned a minor in music from the College of St. Benedict while pursuing pre-med studies.
Samantha's musical prowess has given her the skill to write original music for solo performance, orchestra, vocal performance, and small ensembles. She is also highly skilled in an art called transcription, which means adapting music from one instrument to another, especially among instruments that don't follow the same musical rules and capabilities. This skill has allowed various musical groups to perform songs that are not written specifically for them. It has also given her the ability to give engaged couples the chance to include songs in their weddings that mean a lot to them but are not written specifically for the harp.
Samantha currently resides in the Mount Horeb, WI area with her husband. She works full-time as a resident physician in Family Medicine at the UW-Madison Health System.
