Ceasar officiated my micro wedding in April 2023. A few weeks before the ceremony, he asked thoughtful questions to understand what we wanted, even things I hadn't considered. He's well-organized, kind, and was ON TIME :) I enthusiastically recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant.

This is your day, and not about me.
RELIGIOUS CEREMONY
For those that want a religious blessing and quotes, I am an ordained Christian Wedding Officiant. I will be delighted to start your journey with a foundational faith ceremony.
CIVIL CEREMONY
As a Notary Public, I've performed several civil ceremonies. If you want it short and sweet, I can deliver.
EXTRA HANDS OFFICIANT
You've heard of Wedding Coordinators coming to your rescue with everything about the wedding, Wedding Officiants are similar. We don't just help you recite vows. I will help you with Pre-marital counseling sessions, help organize the details of the ceremony, and be extra hands in the reception even. The best of all, I will turn in the paperwork that needs to be returned to the County Clerk's office for you so you don't have to worry about that following your wedding day.
About
Greetings!
As a Notary Public in Tennessee, I notarize documents for clients, including signing Marriage Certificates/Marriage Licenses for Bride and Groom wanting to get married in Tennessee.
I am also an ordained clergy operating as a Christian Wedding Officiant, and this designation allows me to perform wedding ceremonies in nearby states like Arkansas (where I am registered with the county clerk's office as a wedding minister) and Mississippi, around the country, and around the world.
My experience includes certificate signing with the Bride and Groom and small ceremonies with families and friends. The couple can come to me, or they can pick the destination of their choice. Living room, backyard, at the park, or in a church building. It's your location and it's sweet or sacred because of the commitment you make to each other that day.
Reach out to me if you are in need of my services. Let's get your marriage journey off to a great start!
Additional booking notes
IDENTIFICATION:
Since marriage commitment is a huge deal, we must follow State and Federal guidelines on who can marry. I will check ID's to make sure no one is under age.
CONSENT:
It's against the law to coerce anyone into signing any document. So both parties have to want to sign a marriage certificate and enter the marriage willingly. Unfortunately, I won't perform shotgun weddings.
MARRIAGE REGISTRATION:
In Tennessee, Once couples register at the County Clerk's office, the ceremony has to occur within 30 days, otherwise the paperwork expires and you have to register and pay fees again. 30 days in kentucky, 60 days in Arkansas, and no expiration date in Mississippi and Georgia, but check you local county clerk's office for updated information.
FEE DISCOUNT:
In Tennessee, those who go through marital counseling get a discount when they register at the County Clerk's office.
WITNESS:
Tennessee doesn't require a witness signature anymore.
MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:
The envelop you received from the Clerk's office should be present at the ceremony. The Wedding Officiant will sign two documents you get to keep and the registration and bottom part of what you keep gets sent back to the County to be recorded.
For Tennessee ceremonies, you can get more details on the Shelby County Clerk's website:

PIANIST ACT,
My influence is Hymns for a presbyterian church I attend, but I am familiar with hymns from baptist churches etc.
I can play contemporary christian music you might hear on the radio.
I have a list of songs I play as prelude music before a wedding or a funeral starts as folks are taking their seats. I can also play as they exit.
Reach out to me to discuss what music options you are needing. I know most songs by heart, some i can follow on sheet music, and others will take a couple of days to learn.

3) I've officiated for a couple on December 31st because they wanted the benefits of Married Filing Jointly the next tax season
4) I've officiated for a couple with just them before they have larger wedding at church or with family in a different state.
5) I've officiated for a couple that already had a child together but they felt ready to get married.
6) I've officiated for a couple married in another country, but wanted to be official locally.
VENUE OPTIONS:
1) Signing with vows in the dining room 3
2) Backyard ceremony 2

4) Living room ceremony at their house with family and friends 2
5) Living room ceremony at an AirBnB/Hotel 1
INFLUENCES
Being married myself and attending friends and family members' weddings has reminded me of the importance of a wedding. It's sweet and humbling. It's one of the few celebrations that doesn't only mean something to the couple, but has an impact on the families being united and on the community, especially if children enter the picture.
Setup requirements
Table (and chair) for signing the marriage documents
I've signed marriage licenses on a dining room table. Backyard weddings require a table for the signing. If there's an audience, a sort-of stage is helpful. and for a crowd, having microphones nearby are helpful.
