We are cool, calm and collected when it comes to running an event. Punctuality and planning are our best attributes when it comes to delivering, so no last minute scrambling or unexpected obstacle will derail us. We move at the pace demanded for the event to run flawlessly and we try to provide stability for the event. If everyone else is losing their mind, don't worry, we've got your back. Both our DJs and Event Coordinators are excellent at stage management, hosting, and other common logistics, so we'll never be shy about making announcements or motivating the crowd to do something. We're clean with our setups and we try to make sure your guests have a great time without really noticing our staff. We've executed over 800 successful events of all types, so we're familiar with all potential successes and potential setbacks. Let us be the stability you need at your event.

Our Story

CCMG Events was born out of a lifelong love of music, community, and creating unforgettable experiences. At the center of it all is our founder and CEO, Ontoneyo Gonzales, a creative visionary whose path from cassette-tape mixes to managing and headlining stages has shaped everything we do today.

As a kid, he grew up listening to vinyl records in his uncle's basement and learned about Jazz, The Rat Pack, Motown, Disco, R&B and all the classics. He'd become completely focused on music, spending hours recording his favorite songs from the radio over his mother’s cassette tapes. Music became a deeply important science to a young Ontoneyo and defined significant moments of his life. By high school, he was DJing house parties. By college, he managed stages at major venues, learning on the fly, mixing on the spot, and hosting hip-hop legends like Black Thought, Scarface, Raekwon, and Naughty by Nature.

As a Journalism student, while attending Metro State University, Ontoneyo wore many hats. He worked as writer, editor, photographer, stage manager, and DJ, clocking daytime hours at local publications like Westword while he moonlighted as the General Manager of Casselman's Bar & Venue. That grind instilled a deep respect for time management, creative storytelling, and the power of meticulous attention to detail.

It was during those years that Ontoneyo discovered his love, not just for curating music, but for connecting with people. Driven by that lifelong passion, he launched CCMG Events as a division of Color Coded Media Group. As CEO of Color Coded Media Group, Ontoneyo leads a team of life-long creatives in different industries and CCMG Events is the experiential division that brings creative ideas into reality.

What started with one DJ and a mic quickly evolved into a full-service agency. Today, CCMG Events matches the perfect DJ, live entertainment, and event producer to every client, ensuring that each event, whether it's a wedding, a corporate affair, or immersive music experience, is custom-crafted and completely unforgettable.

From backyard celebrations to iconic venues, we’ve brought our signature sound and soulful energy to over a thousand events. We pride ourselves on blending timeless taste with modern creativity. Our musical expertise spans decades and genres—from Rat Pack classics and Motown grooves to Latin rhythms, EDM, regional rap, exclusive remixes, and everything in between.

At our core, we believe events should feel as authentic and vibrant as the people they’re celebrating. That’s why we build every experience around your story—adding just the right rhythm, energy, and attention to detail to make it memorable.

We're fairly self-sufficient at our client's events and can potentially run a remote setup for 6-8 hours with no power. We have a full mobile setup including speakers, assorted types of microphones, lights, controllers and turntables. Please note that we require coverage from the rain and elements for all events.
