Mermaid Sandy, the Cascade Mermaid, is a professional mermaid living in the Pacific Northwest where the Cascade Mountain Range lie. She splits her time between Portland (OR), Seattle (WA), and SoCal throughout the year.

Sandy discovered her passion for the arts at an early age and spent years behind the scenes for countless plays and events. She later discovered her love for teaching in college and honed her skills over the last few years as a dance teacher when she’s in her human form. Mermaiding has provided an avenue for Sandy to combine all that she loves into one. She’s excited for the opportunity to bring dreams of being a mermaid to reality.

Wet vs. Dry Performances: Services can be adapted for pool/water-based (wet) or land-based (dry) environments. Wet performances require safe water access, appropriate depth, and clear entry/exit points.

Weather Considerations: Outdoor performances are weather-dependent. Wind, rain, or extreme temperatures may require adjustments to performance style, timing, or costuming.

Wind Sensitivity: Mermaid bubble, fabric, or prop-based performances may change or be limited in high wind conditions for safety.

Shelter Needs: Face painting, glitter tattoos, fairy hair tinsel, and mermaid photo booth setups require a dry, weather-protected area. I can provide a pop-up tent if needed.

Lighting: Natural light is ideal for photo moments and the mermaid photo booth; shaded or well-lit areas are recommended for detailed services.

Staging & Space: A clear, defined performance or activity area is required to ensure guest safety and smooth flow.

Sound: No amplification is typically required, but a quiet area is helpful for storytelling or instruction.
