If I am hired for your event, you can expect clear and consistent communication from the initial point of contact, to the day of the event! I am happy to accommodate any special song requests, or moments that would personalize the event for you! Depending on the request, I will either be with a guitarist or a full band. I am a folk singer/songwriter, but I love to perform holiday songs, alternative repertoire, as well as Musical Theater experts.

Caroline Lazar is a 23 year old singer songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. Caroline released her first EP, Nevermine, in 2017 while studying at university. Nevermine was emotional and folk based, but brought to life with a dark indie electronic twist.

After the release and recognition from blogs such as Earmilk, Line of Best Fit, and Honey Punch, Caroline wanted to create a deeply intimate, and primarily acoustic project. Caroline’s music has always been rooted in the folk tradition, but her sophomore EP, Honey, really pays homage to her beginnings. While Nevermine was full of metaphor and unrealistic drama, Honey is genuine, simple, and raw. While finishing up her senior year, Caroline teams up with producer and writer Reed Gaines to release the collection of six songs. The overarching themes of nostalgia, letting go, and moving forward show a maturity and honesty that sets Caroline apart.

Now, fast forward to a tiny bedroom, in a tiny bedroom in Brooklyn. Caroline has found a new home with her cat, Luna, in little Greenpoint. She is putting her past behind and rediscovering who she is and what she wants to say with her music. Her newest single, Roller Rink, is born and bred in Brooklyn. Cowritten and produced by Jack Mullin, Roller Rink is weird and different from Caroline’s past projects, but feels completely genuine nonetheless. Caroline is discovering what this New York version of herself looks like, and we’re all just along for the ride.
