I've been in the caricature business for a while and am top-ranked amongst the major party brokers in the Chicagoland, Denver and Scottsdale areas. I draw quick marker portraits with the goal being to capture the subject's finest attributes. The outcome is nearly always complimentary. Although the color portraits are preferred amongst my clientele, black and white sketches take about half the time.

May 22, 2026The overall experience was okay, but I appreciated how friendly John was. I initially thought each drawing would take about 2 to 3 minutes, allowing him to complete around 25 sketches in an hour. Since I booked him for three hours, I expected about 50ish drawings, but he probably finished around 15. I noticed there were several groups getting their pictures drawn—about five groups with two people each, two groups with three people, and one larger group with about six. I do understand those take a little longer but was a bit disappointed we weren't able to get as many done as I’d hoped.

His customer service was outstanding—professional, friendly, and incredibly easy to work with. He even went the extra mile by bringing custom-themed paper that perfectly matched our event, which added such a thoughtful and personalized touch.
He arrived right on time, got set up seamlessly, and kept a steady flow of guests entertained all evening. What really stood out was his willingness to stay a bit longer to make sure everyone waiting had a chance to be drawn. That kind of care and flexibility does not go unnoticed.
