My delightful and SPOT-ON caricatures are both amazingly entertaining to watch AND a fantastic, LONG-LASTING party favor---because people will frame them, hang them up and smile, YEARS later as they remember YOUR party! I offer Classic 8.5 x 11 caricatures, and new 5 x 5 MINI-caricatures!
My silhouettes are ELEGANT linear likenesses, (and also a historical art form) cut right in front of you with no pre-drawing...and they'll become treasured family heirlooms for your guests!
I can do caricatures OR silhouettes in person at your event, or also virtually via Zoom! I guarantee my art will make your event MEMORABLE!

December 29, 2015We all thoroughly enjoyed Emily's amazing skills!
Emily came to my annual family Christmas party and she was definitely a hit! She was professional, punctual, and courteous and worked straight through for four hours to make sure everyone who wanted their picture done would have it. As for her amazing skills - I can't even begin to say how impressed we all were at Emily's drawings - we laughed and had a wonderful time with her!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Emily Byrne for our wedding on March 22, 2025, at Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia. From the very beginning, Emily communicated with us multiple times to ensure she fully understood our vision and could bring it to life. Price range: $150-$275/hour depending on service chosen.
Insurance: $5,000,000 - Performers of the USA
What to expect
CARICATURES:
At parties, I draw 12-14 shaded B/W faces per hour, with a color background (perhaps your wedding, school or corporate color) The guest(s) of honor (bride and groom, anniversary couple, or birthday guy or gal) get a full-color one...
OR
I can draw 18-20 faces per hour if I leave out the shading. This is good for very large events.
I use sturdy 8.5 x 11 paper, and each guest will get a clear plastic bag to protect the drawing and show it off! Every drawing also has the name of your event and the date inscribed on it, so your guests will remember YOUR party! No other party favor does this the way a caricature can! :-)
SILHOUETTES: I can cut 18-20 silhouettes per hour, they are then attached to a customized-for-your-event backing card. They are 5 x 7 and will become family heirlooms! Great for wedding receptions and historically-themed events!

Your guests will be charmed and amazed when you invite artist Emily Byrne to create her wonderful caricatures or silhouettes for them! It's so much fun to watch amazingly spot-on, yet light-hearted and whimsical likenesses emerge from her flying pen or scissors, as you wait only a few minutes for each one. It's not just entertainment--it's also a life-long party favor your guests will treasure!
CARICATURES: Emily has more than twenty-five years of experience, entertaining at all types of events. She's drawn everyone from newborns to one-hundred-year-olds...her likenesses are among the best out there! She has all sorts of options--BW, color, bodies, backgrounds--depending on your needs and number of guests.
SILHOUETTES: Emily has mastered the amazing-to-watch, historic skill of freehand silhouette cutting--no drawing is involved at all, she just looks at each subject and cuts an accurate profile, capturing the essence of each person, in a minute or two! The delightful result then is pasted to a customized-for-your-event 5 x 7 card and placed in a clear plastic sleeve for your guests to take home and treasure. She can currently cut 18-20 faces per hour. There is only a small handful of silhouette artists working live events today!
There is a two-hour minimum for most events, and a three-hour minimum for wedding receptions and further-away gigs.
Additional booking notes
Emily's needs are simple: three similar-height chairs, a skirted table (does not need to be large... card table size is good, or can be one end of an 8' table) and access to electricity for my clip-on easel light if needed. If outdoors, full shade is required.
