❓ FAQ – Magic Show
How long can it stay an option?
You may hold a date as long as you like until you confirm.
However, if another client asks for the same slot, we’ll need you to decide quickly when we call you.

How to reschedule?

Please text or mail, or use our handy reschedule link at the bottom of the email you will receive and look at any open slots.

When is payment due?
No deposit is required. Payment is due before the show begins, upon arrival. Most clients pay in the week before the event or some do it no after reading this email and settle it now.

What payment methods are accepted?
Cash, Zelle, or Venmo. See below for the QR codes and links.

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

Indoors or outdoors?
Indoors works best, but outdoors is also possible. No problem either way.

For outdoor shows: please specify in your email or text us.

Are there hand-outs?

It’s a magic show — hand-outs are left to you, the experts.

What’s included in the show?
No animals and no balloons — but yes to plenty of magic, laughter, and fun.

Can we use website photos for a poster?
Absolutely, just email us your request for images or take them from the website.

SEATING THE AUDIENCE & MEDIA

May we film the show? Take pictures?
Yes, feel free to record as many memories as you'd like and use them online with no limitations.

Can he do a different show? (they already saw his show).
Yes, he has five different acts for different ages and events. If you did not do so yet, please remind us where you saw the show before.

Can the birthday child join in?
Of course! Birthday kids are welcome to take part in a trick. The other tricks are with the whole group.

Is it interactive?
Yes — most tricks involve all the children at once, right from their seats.

Are parents welcome?
Always. Please provide a separate space for chatting parents so they don’t drown out the show.

Do the kids need chairs?
No chairs needed — kids can sit on the floor or on a blanket.

What about circle seating?
Not ideal. It’s best if all the children sit in front for the best view.

How much space is required?
The show plays big but packs small. It fits into any living room.

Do we need to prepare anything?

If possible; an extra table is welcome when the show is outdoors, a bottle of still water, and if possible block a parking spot.

Captain Tomado (Joachim De Munck) was born into an artistic family of performers in Brussels - Europe.

For more than 20 years he has combined his work at events with work for television and recordings.
He performs his magic shows in English, but also speaks French, Dutch and German.

He started performing magic in his garage for other kids under the stage name PRESTO.

When he was 12, his parents agreed he could have doves for his act, which went on to win an award at an international magic festival.

Soon, every weekend was filled with shows. Being a kid himself gave him a unique insight into performing engaging shows for children.

Since he started doing kid shows when he was a kid himself he became an expert at performing for kid birthday parties.

He performed all over Europe and was a yearlong collaborator on broadcast television shows there.

In the Kellogg's Magic Spoon commercials he was the cool magician in ads that aired in many countries.

From 2015 to 2020 he was the official magician of Legenturia Indoor Entertainment Center.
This indoor birthday party center had two restaurants, >800 seats and a 300 seat theater and hosted sometimes up to 90 birthday parties per weekend. Yes you are reading this well, and all these kids were welcome in one of the 16 shows per weekend.

Doing sixteen performances each week during five years at Brussels largest indoor park was a record!​​

​​This made him his country's most performing birthday magician and put him on the map when he created a unique stage show for this park as the Captain and his fire-breathing dragon. A show attended by more than 300.000 visitors.

Covid forced the beloved medieval themed indoorpark with theater to close in 2020 and he moved with his wife who works as an architect in Bethesda Maryland to the US.

In Washington DC, he can be booked in the DMV area where he performs for big corporations, embassies and of course birthday parties. For birthday parties at home there is a $100 discount if you use the Gigsalad discount code 003 on his website.

For large venues, embassies, corporate auditoriums if possible to use the present sound system that is alays preferred as long as there is a stand for the handheld microphone provided.

The magician can also bring speakers and a complete wireless sound system, depending on the size of the audience, just shoot a message and we can look if there is an additional cost or not.

Frontal seating so no surrounded or circle seating, we don't want them to see the magic secrets!
