Overview

Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers have been performing nouveau zydeco for over 28 years. When they perform, people get up and sing and dance along with these musicians who care about sharing their music with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Quel Que Sara Sara is a traditional Italian music ensemble Captain Squeeze leads for special events and private parties.
Greg Speck also leads a traditional Octoberfest band with varying numbers of musicians including accordion, trumpet, clarinet and tuba. Finally, The Lucky Clovers is a traditional Irish music trio with accordion, violin and upright bass also lead by Greg Speck.

About

As a resident of New Orleans, LA since 2010, Greg Speck (“Captain Squeeze”/ “Commodore Squeeze”) has joined the musicians’ community as an accordion/keyboard performer. After a lifetime career in Rensselaerville, NY producing fusion jazz with his band SuperNOVA and nouveau zydeco records with Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers, he currently freelances as an accordionist and creates music and videos about life in New Orleans and beyond. His New Orleans projects include Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers, Quel Que Sara Sara (traditional Italian music),
Greg Speck/Octoberfest music (traditional polka solo and quartet +), The Lucky Clovers (traditional Irish music) and with Ya Ya Sol (Brazilian/Latin/Pop).

Influences and inspiration

Clifton Chenier, Terrance Simien, Geno Delaphose, Buckwheat Zydeco, Beau Jacque, Sean Ardoin, Steve Riley to name just a few Louisiana musicians.
