It all starts with a phone call.

We'll have a friendly, personal and professional conversation. You can call, text or email anytime, and you'll get a timely response. We always like to meet with our clients before the event, so you can be confident about who's providing the music for your event.

We review every detail with you in advance - from the moment we arrive until the event is completely over, so there are no surprises.

We give you the opportunity to build your own custom playlist, or just give us guidance about your musical preferences.

We arrive at least an hour early, every time, with ample time to set up and be ready to go.

We engage with your guests only if you want us to. If you prefer, we can help get people on their feet out on the dance floor. If not, we can simply play the music you want, without getting in the way of your event.

We can provide accent lighting to match your color palette, and dance lighting to help set the stage for your guests to have a great time.

We can make announcements throughout your event. Some clients prepare a script, while others prefer to
speak themselves. In either scenario, we'll have a microphone at the ready.

We have professional sound equipment - two systems in fact, so we can set up at multiple locations for your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

Capital DeeJays began as a small family-owned business, and has since expanded across the United States. Steven Toole founded the company in 2016, and now his son Collin manages all of the bookings, bringing along his younger brother Roan, as well as trusted friends of the family. Today, this multigenerational team delivers lively, professional DJ and MC services across Los Angeles, Northern Virginia, Blacksburg, VA, and Washington, D.C. areas—covering everything from school dances, private parties, weddings, nonprofit or corporate events, and everything in between. Capital DeeJays personalizes your experience to make each and every event unforgettable.

We prefer to be located near an outlet, but we have extension cords if necessary.

For outdoor events, we prefer a cover to keep us out of direct sunlight or rain.

If the venue is able to provide a table, we would prefer that. If not, we have no problem bringing our own.
