SOLO ACOUSTIC ENTERTAINMENT

Looking for live music that's familiar, enjoyable, and just the right fit for your event? I perform acoustic versions of pop and rock favorites from the 1960s through the 2000s, including songs by Van Morrison, James Taylor, America, Crowded House, U2, Oasis, Coldplay, and more.

Whether you're hosting a backyard party, celebrating a birthday or anniversary, or looking for live music at your restaurant or community event, I can provide a relaxed musical atmosphere or a more engaging performance where guests can sing along and enjoy the music.

I perform solo with acoustic guitar and vocals, bringing my own compact sound system when needed. I'm easy to work with, flexible, and happy to discuss the kind of atmosphere you're hoping to create.

GUEST WORSHIP LEADING

I also offer experienced guest worship leadership for churches, retreats, and special services. Whether your church needs temporary coverage, is between worship leaders, or is planning a special gathering, I can step in confidently and work alongside your existing team.

I bring a repertoire of approximately 200 contemporary and classic worship songs and can lead solo or collaborate with your musicians. I'm happy to coordinate song selections with your pastor, rehearse with your worship team, and work with your sound and projection volunteers to help everything run smoothly.

My goal is to make the worship experience meaningful, engaging, and seamless for your congregation.

FOR ALL EVENTS

I bring decades of musical experience, a professional attitude, and a genuine enjoyment of performing for people. My aim is simple: provide great music, make the planning process easy, and help make your event memorable.

Buzz Garwood's musical journey began before he was even born. His father, a snare drummer and marching band instructor, would tap rhythms on his mother's stomach! By age eight, Buzz was drumming on just about anything he could find, eventually putting together a makeshift drum kit with friends before purchasing his first set.

His high school Christian rock band, Reliance, performed more than 50 concerts throughout Southern California. Along the way, Buzz picked up the guitar, discovered a love for singing, and began leading worship at his church youth group. His musical journey eventually included recording projects and serving as a worship leader at Forest Home Christian Conference Center.

Music has remained a constant throughout Buzz's life. Alongside a decades-long career in education, he's continued performing, recording, playing drums in bands, and leading worship.

Today, Buzz brings that experience to solo acoustic performances featuring pop and rock favorites from the '60s through the 2000s, while continuing to serve as an experienced worship leader. Whether entertaining guests at a private gathering or leading a congregation in song, Buzz believes great music is ultimately about connecting with people.

I provide my own acoustic guitar, Shure SM58 microphone, Fishman Loudbox amplifier, stands, and cables. My compact setup is ideal for private parties, patios, restaurants, community events, and other small to medium-sized gatherings.

For outdoor events or locations without convenient electrical access, I can also provide portable battery power using my Jackery power station. This allows me to perform in locations where a traditional power outlet may not be available.

My setup requires relatively little space, and I can typically handle setup and teardown independently. For larger venues or events requiring additional sound coverage, I'm happy to coordinate with the venue's existing PA system.

For worship services, I'm comfortable connecting to a church's sound system and working with its technical team. I can also coordinate song lyrics with projection operators using ProPresenter, PowerPoint, or other presentation systems.

My goal is to make the technical side of your event as simple and stress-free as possible.
