Burning Sky A tribute to Bad Company. The band members are big fans of the band. We don't consider ourselves average listeners. We know about the careers of the players, how and why the band was formed, who the songwriters are, the meaning of the songs and in general just big fans.
We are lucky and skilled enough to be able to play these great songs the way they should be performed. All the members of Burning Sky come from different musical backgrounds. The Drummer Anthony started the band and had played with the bass player Todd and Lead Guitarist Mike B in different bands and at open mics.
We found the other 3 members: Adrian Rhythm Guitar, Mike K Keyboards and the needle in the haystack so to speak Matt our lead vocalist through online ads in different musician sites. To be honest this alone was a miracle!
We got together and started to play and right from the first note we all new we had something special so we never looked back. We don't just play these songs like some bands do. We listen and dissect the songs. We try to get the inflections, harmony parts, rhythms and beats etc just like when these songs were recorded.
It takes time but its well worth it and this is what separates us from other tribute bands. We get dressed for every show. No slacking or this is only a bar etc. You never know who is going to be watching and we insist on looking good for every show. No shortcuts!
