Small to Large Venue Event Sound Production Services.
We, at Stop Poverty Foundation, is not likely to recommend Bull Audio for any sound tech work. The service that we hired him for, was not provided at the standard that we expected. There were a lot of confusion on the type of service that he promised to provide us and our simple instructions were not followed. We also had a comment from the venue Tacoma Community College that were rather concerning to say the least.
As per Tacoma Community College’s email, he will not be allowed to set foot in their auditorium or do any kind of work in their facility. He was unprofessional and has made crude comments to the guests and the staff of Tacoma Community College. He also made unnecessary changes on the facility’s mixer board that need to be fixed.
We are very displeased to hear this. And we are disappointed , we had to handle most sound technical job ourselves.
We cannot even give him any rating whatsoever. You may be hearing from Tacoma Community College as well, for his inappropriate behavior.
Response from Bull Audio Engineering:
SOUND ENGINEERS BEWARE!!!!
This could happen to you!
We have not missed a gig or had a bad review throughout our entire career, Est. 1979. The written agreement as stated on Gig Salad was as follows:
Provide wireless mics and stands and mix them during performance...that,s it!
When I arrived they also expected me to run a huge fixed lighting console 5 feet away from the sound board while also DJ mixing a confusing stop, go, play, curtain up, curtain closed, hold and continuous play 30 act list, in a sky-box behind glass windows....REALLY! I showed up on time, I provided what was stated in our agreement, made them sound great, which I was complemented on by everyone else there after the show!
As far as the college facility goes, I was told (I have in writing) that I would be running sound from a mixing board on the side of the stage, not 150ft away in a sky-box! Therefore I came up with a solution to the problem of the wireless mics patch problem [I thought I would be able to patch them in at the soundboard] since all my receivers patch with 1/4 inch cables. I used the facilities snake sends [which were not being utilized] that are 1/4 inch to send the signals to the sky-box console via receivers on the side of stage. The wireless signals would have never reached or been terrible all night otherwise!
Now; I was planning on patching all the facilities send cables at the sky-box console back where they had them when the show was over. The girl that was in charge of locking up told me to leave them that way. I insisted on patching them back since it was easy for me [just by memory alone], and would only take a few minutes. After twice of my instance she assured me that they would be fine. Well, you see how that went!
I made one comment to the performers after the show and this is what I said, "I want you all to come to my house so you can sing to me all night, you all sang like heavenly angels and sounded great, I really enjoyed it"
Jeff brought an impressive rig and values producing not only a great foh mix but a fantastic stage mix. Will use him again for future events
